Gustav Egerstedt

Director

Gustav Egerstedt has directed dogs, squirrels and possessed children. So far, everyone has made it out alive.

A former advertising creative turned director, Gustav combines dry, absurd humour with an almost unreasonable attention to detail. He likes strong ideas, interesting characters and humour that sits just slightly off centre. His work combines cinematic craft with a soft spot for the awkward and surreal. He also believes that if something can be done in camera, it probably should be.

Before becoming a director, Gustav worked as an award-winning creative at some of Sweden’s leading agencies, where his love for a well-thought-out pack shot probably was born. He was also one of the people behind the cult horror film festival Elmsta 3000 Horror Fest.

When he’s not working, he’s probably at the cinema. Sitting through the end credits, all alone. Hire him, and he will come out.
